About Emily

Bio

Hello! I’m Emily – a Holistic Nutritionist (HNC) and emotional wellness advocate with a special interest in autoimmunity and the mind-body connection. I have a deep love of food, and of using food as the simplest form of daily medicine.

I studied at Pacific Rim College, and am a member of the Canadian Association of Holistic Nutrition Professionals (CAHN-Pro). With over 300 hours of clinical experience working with many issues from digestion to adrenals to hormones, I especially love supporting those with autoimmune conditions.

Diagnosed with Graves and Hashimotos Thyroiditis, I discovered the hard way that our relationship with food can directly impact our health on a deep level – either causing or reducing inflammation and potentially illness. When I became really sick, my experience left me passionate about using nutrition as medicine. I also believe the psychological impact of a chronic illness can sometimes be even more challenging than the illness itself. Therefore, I place great importance on incorporating emotional support into my practice.

“Let go of who you think you’re supposed to be; embrace who you are.”
