A little update on myself and New Moon Holistic…
I’ve been pretty quiet lately. 2020 has been heavy, both externally and personally. There is so much to process, and I turn inward and seek quiet to do that. Talking with friends and family. Journalling. Walking.
With all these changes, and not being able to see clearly into the future, I’ve been trying to figure out how I can best support all of you (while also preserving my own energies!). I’ve decided to take a little break from Victoria Community Acupuncture and move over to working entirely online for now.
This brings more flexibility into my schedule, and I’m hoping to be able to offer you more quality nutrition content and create a healing program or two!
In the meantime…
I realize that speaking up and speaking out about recent issues is also incredibly important – sharing COVID experiences, amplifying black, melanated and indigenous voices, fighting for equal rights for the LGTBQ+ community, finding our lost sisters, ceasing climate change, protecting environmental and food securities, acquiring justice for all…
I fully believe in doing this work as part of a holistic lifestyle. We need to give back as much as we take or receive to preserve the delicate balance. Stepping up and out of our comfort zones to lift others up in their time of need. Let’s not forget that we are almost 8 billion humans on this earth! So while it may feel like you have to carry it all, remember that you can’t pour from an empty cup, you can’t do it all. But we CAN each do our part to the best of our abilities. We CAN grow our communities for the better. We CAN take care of ourselves in the process, so that we can keep taking care of others too.
This little update may be a little rambling… I hope that you are all taking care of yourselves. I hope that you are all leaning into the discomfort, even just a little.
Know that I am listening. Learning. Unlearning. Striving to create a better future in a sustainable way.
We are all in this together! 🌻
